Songs of America. Let that sink in. For years, I have sat back and admired the many songs that so proudly represent this beautiful country. I love expression of patriotism, and thought that this would be a great way to express mine. This album is in collaboration with the Mathews VA250 committee, which is planning local celebrations for the 250th Anniversary of America, of which I am a member. They asked, so I delivered! Special thanks to Carolyn Smith, for allowing me to use the barn at her beautiful home, Sycamore Branch, as the backdrop for the covers. I don’t think it could have turned out any better! For my whole life, I have been attracted to music. Some of my fondest musical memories as a kid were of participating in Christmas plays, musicals, and concerts. I've always loved how Christmas brings us together; it makes us stop and appreciate the things and people we've taken for granted. Here, I have compiled some of my most favorite Christmas songs, just for you. This year, I do hope you have yourself a merry little Christmas, just as I have, and I hope that this album makes it a little merrier.
